Meet the Doctor
Dr. Long grew up in Metamora, Illinois. After graduating from Metamora Township High School, he received his bachelor’s degree at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine.
Following graduation from dental school, Dr. Long went on to receive his master’s degree and Certificate of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from the University of Alabama Birmingham. While earning his degrees in dentistry, Dr. Long received several awards in recognition of his commitment to excellence and leadership in the field of dentistry.
After completing his residency in January 2020, Dr. Long returned to central Illinois and works in private practice at Central Illinois Orthodontic Associates with offices in Peoria, IL, and Metamora, IL.

Outside of dentistry, you’ll find Dr. Long involved in leading youth ministry or completing further education in ministry leadership through Highlands Bible College in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Long is also an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys hiking, biking, ATV riding, landscaping, habitat conservation, and working on his family farm in rural Metamora. He is passionate about investing in people and building community in every aspect of life.
